Goals This Semester: Reflection

The Fall semester is finally over (thank goodness) and I’ve had a couple of weeks to reflect on the semester. Although it was a challenging one, taking six classes, working 30ish hours a week, being apart of a few societies on campus, and trying to have a social life was exhausting, but it was probably one of the most rewarding semester I’ve had in college thus far.

Earlier in the semester I wrote a post of my goals for the semester and I thought it would be a fun idea to reflect on those goals and see what I was able to accomplish and which ones not so much.

Be On Time

Sadly this is still something that I desperately need to work on. When it comes to class and work especially, I always feel like I’m rushing and that’s something that I really want to work on the next semester and the next year.

Go to Bed Earlier

Another one that sadly hasn’t gotten better, if not, it’s gotten worse. With my work schedule, I can be serving up until 2 am which means I probably won’t be getting to sleep until around 3 am. When I don’t have to work late, I try to get to bed earlier than that, but still I’ve been going to bed way too late and that’s something that really needs to change.

Participate in Class

I think this semester I’ve definitely been more active in my classes. Some classes more than others, but still it’s a step in the right direction.

Make this Year Count

As I mentioned before, I feel like this semester has been the most rewarding. I’ve been involved in a few different societies on campus where I’ve met some great people and have gained a lot of knowledge and experiences through them. I’ve also had a great semester with with my friends. Although with my work schedule, I haven’t been able to spend as much time with them as I would have liked, we’ve had some really fun gatherings and overall I feel like we’ve gotten closer though.

I’m really excited to see what the next semester and the next year brings! Comment down below how your past semester went!
