DIY Rose Water Face Toner Spray: The Perfect Addition to Your Current Skincare Routine

DIY Rose Water Skincare Routine Benefits

If there’s one thing in this world I’m obsessed with in terms of skincare, it’s rose water. If you haven’t read any of my past posts such as How to Combat Dry Skin When Flying and Best Products of 2017, where I gush on and on about my love for rose water, you wouldn’t know how truly dependent and madly in love I am with this simple spray.

I first started using rose water about two to three years ago when I first purchased Mario Badescu Rose Water spray, which you can find at many stores including Urban Outfitters. I’ve heard a lot about this spray in the past and knew that I wanted to try it. Shortly after purchasing, I became officially obsessed.

For me, I use rose water every day as a facial toner in the morning, as a makeup setting spray, and as an extra step after I use my toner at night. I also swear by keeping this with me at all times when flying to hydrate my skin or to spritz on other areas such as my hair.

As someone with sensitive skin, I was amazed that something that could work so well on my skin didn’t cost that much. However, using the spray multiple times a day, they bottles soon ran out very, very quickly. For about $12 a bottle and something as simple as “rose water,” I figured that I could just make my own, and you can too!

Not only is rose water used in perfume due to its lovely scent, it also has so many benefits for your skin. Rose water itself contains a number of different antioxidants that are so beneficial for your skin. Rose water has anti-inflammatory properties which means that it can be extremely beneficial for aiding skin issues such as eczema and rosacea. Along with that, it also has antioxidants that help with anti-aging. If you would like to learn more about the benefits of rose water I totally recommend checking out some articles that dive into the benefits a little more here and here.

To make your own DIY Rose Water all you will need is three ingredients! It’s that easy!

Ingredients

– Rose Water

-Aloe Vera (Liquid Form)

-Water

-Spray Bottle

To make this DIY Rose Water Facial Toner Spray it could not be any easier. Depending on the size of your spray bottle is how much you’re going to add of each ingredient you’re going to add to the spray. However, it’s really simple! Simply mix 1 part rose water to 1 part aloe vera in liquid form, you can either melt solid aloe vera yourself or pick up some liquid aloe vera and combine those two with 1 part water in your spray bottle. So essentially fill your spray bottle up 1/3 of the way with each product until your bottle is full! Shake it up and it’s ready to use. Yup, that’s it! So easy and so cheap. You can also customize it and add some of your favorite essential oils or some fresh herbs!

You can easily find these items online, at health food stores, but also items like liquid aloe vera was at our everyday grocery store for around $13 for the bottle. That’s essentially the price of one Mario Badescu Rose Water Spray. With a bottle this big of aloe, you can definitely make 15-20+ bottles of Rose Water Spray, which means you’ll be saving quite a bit of money!

I highly recommend you try out this DIY Rose Water spray for yourself or you can make a huge batch of it and give it out as gifts for friends and family! I swear, once you start using rose water, it will become one of your favorite skincare products too!
