As Amazon Prime Day is coming up, I thought that I would share some of my favorite Amazon travel products that make traveling so much easier.

I love sharing Amazon products on my blog and social media because it’s something that’s international and my audience around the world can access it. While I was living in the U.S. I relied on Amazon for years for purchasing my everyday essentials, technology, and gifts for friends and family. Now that I’ve moved to Australia, Amazon has finally launched and is slowly building up its inventory to be comparable to the U.S. Amazon and I’ve been using it more and more. It definitely adds a lot of convenience in my life, but also saves me a bit of money at the same time.

If you don’t know what Amazon Prime Day is, it’s a period of 2 days, July 15-16th,  that you get amazing deals on all types of products. I find that Amazon typically has the cheapest prices on just about everything, sometimes saving me hundreds of dollars from a nearby store. With Amazon Prime, you not only get access to amazing deals but free two-day shipping on eligible items. Along with those perks, you get access to tons of music, books, and movies to stream online.

During July 15-16th the Prime deals are for Prime members only, so you’ll definitely want to start your trial before Prime Day to get access to these deals. Some deals include Ring Video Doorbell Pro and Eco Dot for $169 (originally $298.99), along with deals on skincare products, clothing, and household items and furniture. There’s something for everyone on Amazon and that’s one of the reasons why I love featuring it on my platforms.

You can try Amazon Prime for free for 30-days just in time for Prime Day and can cancel at any time.

Before I became an Amazon Prime Member, I tried it out a couple of times. Especially around the holidays and Prime Day, being able to try Amazon for 30-days absolutely free is amazing to get access to those incredible deals and free two-day shipping. So I definitely recommend you try it out, see how convenient it truly is and amazing deals you get and decide after the 30 days if you want to continue or end your trial. With traveling a lot, especially recently, I’ve had a lot of time to try out different travel products and get my travel routine down to a tee. Below I’ve included my favorite travel products that are all available on Amazon.

These items are currently not listed as on sale for Amazon Prime Day, so I would encourage you if you’re interested in any of these Amazon Travel Items to add them to your cart, get your free 30-day Prime trial, and wait until July 15th to see if any of the purchases are on sale even further for Prime Day.

Herschel Little American Mid-Volume Backpack

I have a few bags that I like to use for travel but my Herschel Little American Mid-Volume Backpack is my go-to bag when it comes to travel. I’ve had this backpack for about four years now and it’s still in nearly perfect condition. I’ve taken it across the world multiple times, on countless hiking adventures, carried my college textbooks in it, got it wet and muddy, and it still holding up without any problems.

Not only do I think this backpack’s great quality, but it’s also the perfect size. I love taking my Herschel Little American as my “personal item” when flying. I like to put my laptop in the laptop compartment and I still have plenty of room for my other travel essentials like water bottle, book, headphones, slipper socks, snacks, wallet, and travel skincare.

This backpack is also super practical for me because it’s unisex so my partner and I can share it. This is especially great when it comes to travel if we go on a hike during our trip, I’m not the designated backpack carrier. If you’re looking for a durable, stylish, backpack, I highly recommend the Herschel backpacks and the Little American Mid-Volume Backpack in particular.

Neck Pillow

Neck pillows significantly make your flying experience a lot more enjoyable. If you’re someone who likes to try and sleep during your flights, a neck pillow is essential. Even on international flights where they provide you with a small, thin travel pillow, a neck pillow is meant for you to use in the upright position that you’re in for travel and therefore will be a lot more comfortable. I “splurged” on this Cabeau Evolution Memory Foam Neck Pillow that I picked up from Target a few years ago, but it was definitely worth the small investment.

However, it’s significantly cheaper on Amazon than what I bought it for at Target and Amazon has it extremely cheaper than at the airport kiosk if you’re debating picking up one during your trip. I highly recommend picking up a good quality travel pillow like Cabeau Evolution Classic Memory Foam Travel Pillow, it’ll definitely make sleeping while traveling a lot easier.

Makeup Organizer

I find that not only when I travel my makeup gets incredibly messy and disorganized, but also a lot of my powders tend to break. Having a makeup travel bag like this one from Teamoy Travel Makeup Brush Case is not only great to organize your makeup with the detachable compartments and brush holder on top, but it also protects your makeup from being smashed during your trip. With how expensive makeup can get, having your $60 highlighter break really sucks.

One of my main tips when it comes to packing is compartmentalizing items and having all your makeup and beauty products in this one Makeup Organizer is a perfect way to keep everything organized in one place.

Travel Adaptor

I got this Travel Adaptor as a gift about three years ago before I studied abroad in Australia and it’s been with me since. Not only is it super affordable, but it’s also very compact and doesn’t take up any room in your bag at all. It’s important that when you get an adaptor when traveling internationally, that you get one with a built-in converter.

An adaptor is what adapts your cord to the outlet and allows you to plug things in. A converter, however, is the essential addition that converts the electricity voltage to what your device needs. Do you ever hear about blowdryers blowing up when using them in a different country? That’s because the voltage wasn’t converted. Different countries have different voltages and to protect your device and yourself, make sure you get a travel adaptor and converter all in one.

As I mentioned, I’ve had this Travel Adaptor for three years now and it still works great! You really can’t beat the price so I highly recommend you add this to your Amazon list!

Patagonia

I got my Gray Women’s Better Sweater Patagonia Pull-Over last Christmas and I seriously wear it all the time. My parents got me it right before our New Zealand trip and I seriously lived in it during the week road tripping around the South Island. Having a few key staple items in your wardrobe is great for travel.

When we travel, we like to explore the area, go on hikes and do active things and Patagonia is perfect for that. However, if you’re not so much as an active person, Patagonia’s are still perfect for traveling since they’re so warm, fast-drying, and extremely comfortable. I honestly don’t think that I’ll go on a trip without my Patagonia now because of how much I wear it. They also come in a wide selection of colors and styles as well, so I’m sure you can find something you like. I’m just really happy with the quality of mine and I’ll definitely be purchasing some more in the future.

Cord Organizer

One of the things that stress me out a lot when traveling is having my phone or computer die. Nothing is more stressful when your flights been canceled, you’re trying to rebook another ticket, and all of a sudden your phone dies. I’ve been there and trust me, it’s not fun!

Instead of having to rummage through your bags to find your phone charger, getting a cord organizer like this one from Bagsmart Electronic Organizer is a great way to keep your cords all in one place and organized. Just like the makeup, keeping everything together will save you time and the hassle of digging through your bag searching for your laptop charger.

North Face Rain Coat

Another one of my travel wardrobe staples is my North Face Black Rain Coat. Having a nice raincoat is essential if you like to travel a lot and will definitely make the whole experience a lot more enjoyable and easier. Having umbrellas is another option, but I think having a raincoat, especially when it comes to traveling, is so much more practical as you’re not restricted to what you can do with it on. With an umbrella you can only do so much with holding it and chances are, you’ll still get wet.

Staying Dry in my North Face Rain Coat on a Glacier Hike in Milford Sound, New Zealand

Not only is this raincoat great quality and extremely durable, but it’s super compact, which is so important when traveling. This raincoat folds up to nearly nothing, which makes it great for packing in a small carry-on, but also be able to throw it in a backpack or purse when exploring a destination. There are a few travel staples that I think are worth investing a little bit more money in and a nice raincoat like the North Face one is definitely worth the investment in my opinion.

Luggage Scale

After purchasing a luggage scale, packing doesn’t seem nearly as stressful as it did before. Especially in Australia, luggage weight is taken really serious here. International flights normally all have a weight limit, but here in Australia, it’s not uncommon for airlines to weigh your carry-on bags as well. Having a luggage scale at home is the perfect way to weigh your bag before you get to the airport and avoid any stress of having to rearrange items in your suitcases or worse, avoid those insane overweight baggage fees.

Once again, been there and done that and it cost me over $150!

Luggage scales are super affordable on Amazon and this one from Dr Meter is a great, affordable option to not only keep at home but pack with you on your trip. This way, when you return back home, you don’t have to wonder if your suitcase is overweight with all the shopping and survivours you picked up on in your travels. You can simply just weigh your suitcase before and not stress.

If you’re looking to purchase a luggage scale, I would definitely suggest checking out Amazon. I purchased a luggage scale last minute from Bed, Bath & Beyond for over $30.00, whereas they’re around under $10 on Amazon, so definitely check out Amazon when it comes to luggage scales.

Eagle Creek Packing Cubes

Packing cubes are a great way to organize your luggage, but also get the most out of your suitcase space-wise. Packing cubes seriously condense your items allowing you to fit a lot more in your suitcase. They also compartmentalize your items so you can stay organized, just like with the makeup and cord organizer. I have a few different brands of packing cubes, but if you’re looking to purchase a really good set, Eagle Creek makes the best packing cubes in my opinion. Their quality is great and I’ve had mine for years now and they’re still holding up great.

If you’re looking to get more organized when it comes to traveling, I definitely recommend you check out Amazon during Prime Day to stock up on all your travel essentials. Even if you’re not looking for travel items, in particular, Amazon has just about anything you can think of and Prime Day is a prime time to get them!
